A CALL CONCERNING A PEOPLE

I Chronicles 11:10 These also are the chief of the mighty men whom David had, who strengthened themselves with him in his kingdom, and with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of the LORD concerning Israel.

To my fellow reader and believer in the faith, this word is simple but true in order to strengthen and encourage you to be a lover of people for the sake of the Gospel.

As I read the scripture I Chronicles 11:10, I see how David was put on his throne not just because the Lord loved him so much, but because the Lord loved His people so much. (Acts 10:34). This isn’t the first time we read of this. It is written of when God first spoke to Satan concerning Christ in Genesis 3:15, how the Lord spoke of an enmity that will and was placed between the serpent and the seed of the woman. The Lord spoke Christ into existence because He so loved people, or as we read, He so loved the world! (John 3:16).

We also see this in the life of Abraham being called upon by God, so that through him by God, Abraham can be the father of nations, bringing more people into the land through his loins. Even in the life of Joseph, he himself knew it wasn’t all about him, but about a people. It's about people, our bretheren, either lost or saved, it's about Christ's Salvation invadeing the lives of people to fufill His plans in the earth and be in relationship with them.

Matthew 28:36-39 (36) Master, which is the great commandment in the law? (37) Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. (38)This is the first and great commandment. (39) And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

I believe one of the many reasons of why Christ spoke this second command to love your neighbor, which is to love everyone (saved or unsaved), is because of the calling God has for your life. Immediately for all who call themselves disciples, Christians, servants, etc. after God, are required to love people like Christ. And only by the infilling of the Holy Spirit and His transforming work can we be like Christ showing an uncommon love that is so divine to all mankind. Our relationship with Christ ought to reflect to others, showing the same love of Christ and only exhalting Jesus.

Philippians 2:2,5 (2) Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. (5) Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

When we have the same mind like Christ, then we have the same love, the very love that gave birth to all things in and through God. The same love that will speak and prophecy God’s plan into existence, a love that endures, a love that overcomes and destroys hatred, a love that is willing to daily deny oneself for the life of Christ and even the plan of God toward others.

When we show this love and allow it to become active through our lives, we are indeed fulfilling the joy of Christ. Our same love that Paul is referring to is the love for Jesus Christ, and the love of Jesus was the love for restoring people to God!

The Bible says that the mighty men of David strengthened themselves with him in his (God given) Kingdom and with ALL Israel, to make Him king according to the WORD of the Lord CONCERNING Israel or in other words CONCERNING people.(I Chronicles 11:10).

We as men and woman of a mighty God need to be strengthened also in Christ in His Kingdom, concerning HIS people, concerning ALL people, saved and unsaved.

I am sure the mighty men of David did not get strengthened with David with out any communication shared between them and David. They didn’t just show up with David at the cave of Adulam and decide to get divinely strong in the Lord. No! They by virtue of honor and integrity toward David were “married” to him, in other words they were drawn to His side as II Samuel 5:1 and I Chronicles 11:1 say that David’s mighty men said “Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh.” Adam said the same about his wife Eve when she was formed out of him in Genesis 2:24. Jesus said the same thing when He had his disciples partake of the wine and bread in the last supper with Him on the earth before He endured the cross. (Matthew 26:26-29). Jesus called the bread ,His body and the wine, His blood of the New Testament or New Covenant, that we can obtain only through the blood of the Lamb of God. Saints we are called to be in Christ, every time we partake of communion at church or wherever we are. We do it as a reminder and indication of the life Christ laid down for us and the covenant we are called to have with Him. To be married with Christ! To in The Spirit IS to be in The Lord! How do you think the Church began? It exploded by The Holy Spirit comming upon common men, who preached an uncommon Gospel, displayed an uncommon power, and showed forth an uncommon love to all people, leading everyone to Christ Jesus! And all of this is concerning people and God. Concerning shared Eternal Covenant between all mankind and the Saviour! By which we may known more of God Almighty!

The Bible says in Isaiah 47:7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. It says that EVERYONE not just an individual.

Everyone that has been called out by the name of Jesus, or who have received the free Salvation only given through Christ to have eternal life and even a new life to endure and obtain such Salvation! It’s about people! And if we are not “married” or joined together with and in Christ by covenant, if we don’t allow Him to be every bone of our bone and flesh of our flesh, especially the heart of our heart, then we allow the Devil, we allow sin to kill the fight in us for righteousness only given by the Hoyl Ghost! We allow it!The Hoyl Spirit wont die, but we will and only by the Word of God and His spirit in us...We live today and in the promise granted unto those who are saved! When we don’t stay in fellowship with God and allow Him to strengthen us IN Him! To allow the power of Christ to rest upon us!(II Corinthians 12:9-10) Again if you barely fellowship and intercede to the Lord in prayer, you’re letting the Devil kill the God given fight in you to declare life over death! To bring life to deadly places! To lay hold of your son, your daughter, your husband, wife, friend, co-workers, a church, a governament, a family, a nation, a people, a generation!

I encourage us all to understand this, and that is simply…God’s plan for your life is concerning people. There are two ways to look at this. First, people who are lost are concerned if there really is a God and they can only know if you allow God to be made manifested through your life completely. Remember…bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh. When we allow the Holy Spirit of Christ to come upon us, others will see Jesus, perhaps not what He looked like 2,000 years ago in the flesh, but they see Him in you and you in Him. They see His nature and power flowing out of you, because you are one in Him through covenant. Second, God has called you by His name when you repented and gave your heart to the Lord, not only for you to enjoy new life in Him, but that others may enjoy a new life in Him through your witness of Christ. Only He can save! We are in this race to manifest God through our lives and lead others to the cross, to Salvation.

Matthew 28:19-20 (19) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (20) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

God Bless
