EACH KNOT FOR YOU

... My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.- Mark 5:23

On a fine sunny Saturday, my wife Laurel and I after a nice morning run, were scheduled for a free 90 minute couples massage.

We arrived at the Wellness Center where we were to receive our massage therapy. We both had the same massaging procedures done, but had two totally different experiences.

Once seated, having our feet first soaking in hot therapeutic water, my massage therapist asked me if I ever came in for a professional massage before. I replied that I have, and she asked how long ago and my answer was, "6 years or so. I forget, it has been awhile." The other therapist didn't bother to ask my wife the same question, because Laurel has been there on more of a regular basis.

The calming music of ocean waves, the dim lighting, the rubbing of oils and sweet scents, this all could make one feel that they have finally arrived to the climate of rest and relaxation.

Finally it was time for us to get on the table. This is where my wife and I had totally different experiences...for the most part. As I was getting worked on, I looked over at my wife and she seemed to be at complete peace and tranquility as her massage therapist seemed to gently massage her head and so on. However my masseuse (another name for a massage therapist) had to tell me to relax because time for me began to get tense and boy did I feel it!

When the session began and I was sitting down, having my feet soaked, my therapist noticed some unpleasant "bumps" beneath my skin on my forearms and calves. I never felt them or noticed them before until she rubbed over them. I asked her..."Are those knots?" She looked up while sitting on the floor, smiled and said they were. Well I was glad she could find them and they weren't that big of a pain as she massaged over them and got rid of the knots.

For those who don't know, knots are little build ups of lactic acids around a muscular region of your body. How are they caused? They are caused by applied stress to the body. In other words, when you put a demand on the muscles of your body such as walking a lot, working out and so on, it will eventually cause the lactic acids in your body to come together in that muscular region and as the acids are a sticky substance it will stick together, thus forming more of a solid, well...KNOT. This is not the kind of stress to be mistaken in the realm of emotions.

Now as I was on the table, my knots from earlier seemed to be nothing compared to the many numerous knots my masseuse found all over my body. I had massive knots, again not noticeable to the naked eye, nor felt prior to the massage, but I had them all over my legs, back, arms, neck and even on both sides of my jaw. As I am face down, staring at the ground, no longer paying attention to the "calming" music being played in the background, all I could focus on were these painful knots that were being revealed and provoked throughout my body when rubbing opposition and force met it. This is when my therapist told me to try and relax.

While reminiscing about how the knots form I asked my masseuse if she also gets these knots when working on many other clients. She said she did and that after my session the other therapist was going to work the knots out of her. My masseuse made the statement, "your knots are transferred to me".

My fellow reader, once I heard that statement, it was reconfirmed to me while on that table, that we ALL have knots...spiritually.

We were all born with these knots and these knots are called sin! We did nothing initially to obtain them, due to our ignorance and the inheritance of man's fallen nature since the beginning with Adam & Eve, we were all born "knotted up" inside.

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. -Psalm 51:5

With these knots we are even prone to think we are living good lives, doing good things, being kind and so on, but the truth is...regardless of how we thought ourselves to be, we have knots!

We may not feel the pain of these knots called sin, we may not look "sinful" or knotted up, but the truth is, we have them regardless of how we feel or look.

The only way you can detect that you have these knots of sin in your life is when you finally pay a visit to the Ultimate Massage Therapist named Jesus Christ!

It is once you lay yourself on the table called the cross of Calvary and allow the bloody hands of Christ to lay hold of you and begin to rub your life you will realize you too have knots!

It is when He drizzled the anointing oil of The Holy Spirit and the ongoing rubbing of His Word, that, THAT which is hidden becomes exposed!

But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out. -Numbers 32:23

It is nothing to just be related to a Christian or Pastor! It is nothing to just grow up in a Christian home! It is nothing to only say a simple prayer and yet turning back to the old familiar life you once knew! But what will really get rid of your sin, what will really dissolve your unseen, yet life threatening knots is if you lay yourself down at the alter and allow the hands of Jesus to make you brand new!

You see, it is when you go to Calvary's cross, you realize that Jesus took on your knots of sin! When He died the ultimate death for all mankind, whosoever would believe on Him, by applying His blood to their life, you will realize your sin was transferred to Him!

That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself (Jesus)took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. -Matthew 8:17

The therapist who worked on me during my and my wife's couples massage, had to get her own massage in order to get the knots out of her. What a about the masseuse that would massage her? Well she would eventually get knots too and then these knots would continually be transferred back and forth as each other would consonantly have to massage the knots out of each other and yet regain them again! However with Jesus it is not so!!!

Jesus took on our knots and then gave His life and died at the cross! Once dead, having our sin-filled knots, sin can no more reign in His mortal body!!! No more transfer of SIN/KNOTS...Jesus took it all and destroyed it from ever transferring from Him, as He received the judgment of sin which is death! For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. -Romans 6:23

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. -1 John 3:8

The good news is this! Not only did Jesus take out knots of sin and died, but 3 days later Jesus resurrected from the dead!!! Completely glorified, seen and touched by many before taking His place at the right hand of God preparing for His return!!! To be glorified, means He is spotless of sin, no knots found on Him! Those knots, our sins were left in the grave, buried!!!

What does this mean for you? This means if you come to Jesus' Massage therapy treatment called Salvation. Come as you are! Come with your knots, your wounds your hurts, your disappointments, you physical infirmity, all come and come all...Jesus will take EACH KNOT, JUST FOR YOU!!!

The difference is...after you allow the hands of Jesus by His Word and Holy Spirit, He will having you walking off the other side of the cross not only feeling like a new man, but BEING a NEW CREATION TOUCHED BY HIM!!!

My massage therapist heard me share all of this with her. She asked if she should lighten up on the pressure with these knots and I told her, "NO WAY! Do what you have to do! Get these knots out of me!!!" As 2 Timothy 2:3 declares,"You therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ." I was willing to endure the momentary pain of the exposure of my knots so that the therapist can take them to herself, therefore allowing me to be completely KNOT free!

Through Jesus we are re-created...made NEW! Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. -Romans 6:4

My masseuse said to me, when checking my wife and I out of the Wellness Center, "I hope it is much less than 6 years that you come back to get worked on again." Now why would she say that? Because in this circumstance, my body is still susceptible to regaining knots as I continue to use it! Though Jesus paid the price, WE, not Him, have a tendency to give into the lies of Satan and return back to the lifestyle where we got these "knots of sin" in the first place and allow those kind of KNOTS to reside in our life and take over, leaving us blinded to why we can not obtain victory and power over every situation within! This is why once Jesus works on us, we must not look back at the old ways, the old patterns or the old door in which we came in, but embrace the life before us and keep allowing ourselves to make visits to Massage Therapist Jesus and begin now to lay on our own cross and allow Him to respond to our house calls and continue to bring you from glory to glory all by a touch of His hands!

I encourage you my friend, before time is up be sure to go schedule an appointment with Jesus and be willing to lay your life down before Him! I promise you, you will never be the same!

Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them. -Luke 4:40

So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. -1 Corinthians 15:54

Before I forget...my massage therapist who worked on me, the one who I told this truth to, wound up being one who practices witchcraft! All I have to say is, she definitely heard of the Master Physician named Jesus and now she knows where she can get rid of her knots, once and for all!!! Hallelujah!
