FROM THE HOUSE TO THE THRONE

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

To my fellow reader, this word was quickened to me as I read II Samuel 3. This encourages me to continue to follow after Christ, along side with others, and establish HIS Kingdom. To go from the house to the throne!

II Samuel 3:1 Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker.

In many churches, or houses if you will, there has been a conflict between the house of Saul (self) and the house of David (Christ). And it has been a long conflict between the two.

In Matthew 16:18 Jesus said to Peter that upon the rock of his (Peter’s) understanding and revelation of Jesus being The Christ, The Anointed One, The Healer, The Redeemer and etc. that Jesus will build HIS church! Not Peter’s, not Catholic, not man’s self, but only Christ’s Church, the Church of The Anointed One! Now I am not here to put down Catholic’s as individuals, this is about Christ’s church, so Catholicism has no room in this writing for its system is a cult of its own.

However I do want to say, as far as the Catholic Church, they do have believer’s that are faithful to actually go to the church, yet housing the wrong doctrine. However as the gift of the Bible has been preserved and given unto us by God, we may have the correct doctrine, but many churches are delivering it in the wrong spirit! There is a war between the house and the throne!

II Samuel 3:6 And it came to pass, while there was war between the house of Saul and the house of David, that Abner made himself strong for the house of Saul.

We see how Abner made HIMSELF strong. That is no question concerning why, seeing that he was making himself strong for a dead house. Saul is dead, no longer living! It’s a dead house Abner is apart of! There is no life of a King in that house whatsoever! Therefore since pride gripped, the once appointed captain of Saul's army, Abner's heart, he resorted to making himself strong, because the king was no longer there to do so.

There are many who call themselves The Church, yet in the spirit they function inwhich is the spirit of selfishness, the King of whom that Church is to be built upon is no longer there. It’s a dead church!

The issue isn’t of a dead King, because Christ is alive and reigning this day, but the issue is the spirit in which we have come to allow in the church! The bible says seek FIRST the Kingdom of God and HIS righteousness…Matthew 6:33.

Why have we, as the Church, allowed the conflict to last so long between the house and the throne? You see God was moving forward in His purpose upon David’s life and kingdom establishment, and Abner didn’t move forward, because He was afraid of loosing the authority he once had over a people once given from a now dead king. Sure King Saul was once anointed, the bible says God’s anointing and spirit rested upon Saul in the beginning, before David came on the scene. The anointing is not the issue, but the submission and consecration to God’s Purpose is!

Jesus said to Peter, And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Matthew 16:19. Jesus has entrusted the church with Kingdom keys, to show forth the power of His Kingdom, not man’s Kingdom. If Jesus can give them to a certain church, He surely can take them away if we unleash anything in the wrong spirit! The spirit of selfishness and self Kingdom building! By that, I mean trying to build our own Kingdom and seek IT out rather than God’s Kingdom! We can be backsliding while standing still by not moving forward with God’s intent in divine purpose.

Mark 3:25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

The Church, I believe, is to be an embassy of God’s Kingdom, as we are called to be ambassadors of that Kingdom! The Church is to be a place where anyone can get the closest to the heavenly realm corporately, experiencing the word and power of God, like a portal or open heaven, from this world to the heavenlies, from the Sanctuary of the House to the Throne Room of God!

II Samuel 3: 7-8 (7) And Saul had a concubine, whose name was Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah: and Ishbosheth said to Abner, Wherefore hast thou gone in unto my father's concubine? (8) Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ishbosheth, and said, Am I a dog's head, which against Judah do shew kindness this day unto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David, that thou chargest me to day with a fault concerning this woman?

Did Abner really think that just because he showed “kindness” or some sort of acknowledgement to the bretheren of the house of Saul that would feed into Ishbosheth’s ego as king, that Abner is allowed to sleep with the king's dead father's concubine? Did he really think it was ok, since Saul once anointed him to be captain of the army? Who’s to blame Abner for his disrespectful mannerism toward the king, since they both are part of a dead house?

To many times we have heard of adultery taking place in the House of God, The Church of Christ! Too many has gotten caught up in their pride and own Kingdom building, that they assume its okay to disrespect the King of kings and sleep with a spouse who is in covenant with another spouse, before God!

If we are (the Church) who Christ says we ought to be, then we will not be a dead church, but a church that knows what it is to function properly, from the house to the throne, which is only possible because LIFE through Christ by the Holy Spirit has been given into the Church!

II Samuel 3:10 To translate the kingdom from the house of Saul, and to set up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah, from Dan even to Beersheba.

God was moving forward with His plan, to move from Saul to David. God spoke His word and would see to it, that it was performed, with or with out Israel’s consent. The Kingdom WAS to be established through David, as the Church is to be established in Christ! God doesn’t need our consent, He will do it, but He wants our hearts to submit to it, because He desires not to see any one perish, but flow in life and life more abundantly! He desires for us to show forth the Kingdom of God!

I heard this revelation spoken before between two men of God; it was a story of a father and little girl. They both went to Niagara Falls and as the father was telling his little five year old daughter to look at the splendor and massiveness of the waterfall, he heard no response of recognition. He turned around and saw his little girl playing in a puddle. He called her name, but she responded not because she was so consumed in her puddle. Until final the father just picked her up and caused her to gaze at the big water fall and immediately her little puddle was gone from her attention.

You see the puddle, in the midst of many puddles, was a result from the water fall. There is a lot of puddles formed due to the massive splashes from the big water fall. However, that puddle isn’t the water fall, but a result of it!

So many will play in their own puddle, play around in church, in their ministry. Christ’s church or churches, is a result of the Kingdom of God! It’s of flesh nature for man to get so caught up in playing in his ministry without direction from the throne room, because selfishness got in the way. But God, as a loving Father as He is, just wants to pick us up and show us the massive water fall, to show us His massive plan and purpose within the Kingdom of heaven to be stablished on the earth! It’s more than our own church or ministry, but it is a part of a massive plan! To work together as The Church, Christ’s Church, as His body!

I just want to encourage us, to allow our Father to pick us up and show us things, secret things of His plan and purpose through out the world! To move forward and showing forth His Kingdom and will on earth AS IT IS in heaven! God wants us to be a house that daily goes to the throne by prayer and supplication!

Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
