KEEPING THE HEART FROM PROSTITUTION

Hosea 7:2 And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.

2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and from throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him…

This word was something spoken to me in an audible voice at about 3 a.m. a good number of months ago in 2008. I was standing at my bedside, alone in my room, yet still in a sleep, and a clear audible voice spoke to me in which then I awoke standing at my bedside. The voice said, “Pray for Hosea”. I immediately knew it was concerning the whole book of Hosea which I read a month or two prior to this experience. I thought the meaning of what was spoken, was an instruction for me to not ever prostitute the Word of God. To not preach what man wants to hear that would be settling to his ears, for that was something our Lord was making real to me at the time. As a few months went by from hearing this voice that was spoken to me, I was in a church service and The Lord brought back into remembrance of what was spoken to me at 3 in the morning a few months back. The Lord revealed to me, that not only am I not to prostitute the Word of God, but I am not to prostitute my heart. At that time, I was in no situation that this was spoken to me in correction, but rather of as a life command to the journey I have been on in Christ.

One thing that God absolutely hates is when His people, His children, His bride, prostitutes their hearts to the lovers of their flesh.

Exodus 34:14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:

Our Lord wants all of our heart, not half. He wants to be number one in our lives and relationships. If He isn’t, then we defile ourselves by receiving the ultimate wrath of God, to be cut off in fellowship with Him.

Leviticus 20:6 And the soul that turneth (away from God) after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring (prostituting) after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.- emphasis added

The Lord has called us to be not of this world! John 17:16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. We are not ordained to be Christians just by title, but by lifestyle. To be servants of Christ, to be sons and daughters of the Almighty living God. The Lord has separated us unto His own. We are brought back into proper order in fellowship to our Father, The Father, through the saving grace of Jesus Christ our Lord! So that we may prove what is good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).

Leviticus 20:24 But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people.

Let’s consider Solomon, David’s son, who was noted for his God-given wisdom. A King who started strong in The Lord, with all his heart. He was the first to build the temple of The Lord after the pattern his father David gave unto him. He was the son of a man who was after the very heart of God. The promise of God laid heavy upon Solomon’s life, however Solomon prostituted his heart toward the lovers of his flesh.

I Kings 11:1 But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites:

Remember beloved Our Father has called us to be different, to be set apart as His children. We are to be of Kingdom kindred under God in His Kingdom. The wives of Solomon were noted as strange in the scriptures, because they were not of the same Kingdom, the same calling, the same inheritance, the same promise, the same citizenship all that pertains to The Lord. They were woman of different false gods, which is completely contrary of The Lord whose name is jealous

I Kings 11:2-3 (2) Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love. (3) And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.

I believe and know that Solomon was wise enough to realize that to connect to anything contrary of God’s acceptance would cut him off in fellowship with The Father. Solomon had wisdom, but he also had a decision. He chose to disobey The Lord, to turn from His statutes, to break covenant with God. The result of Solomon turning away from His first love, The Lord resulted in evil doing.

I Kings 11:4 For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.

I Kings 11:6 And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.

My fellow reader this is why it is important to live constantly examining our heart before the Lord. To be consecrated and faithful to our Father. Most of the time we blame the devil when we are acting in sin, but Satan is just the influencer of evil. We, children of The most High God, are the ones who make the decision whether or not we will be defeated or take a stand after righteousness in Christ. Satan just gives a little push, in hope that our flesh will give in and walk the rest of the way on a path that is opposite of God’s will and away from The Lord’s heart. Satan influenced Eve to eat of the fruit that God forbad, but she made the decision to eat of it. The result of the decision, caused Adam and Eve to leave the garden. In other words they were cut off from fellowship with the voice of The Lord.

In Solomon’s life, it goes to show that it started in the mind and eventually sunk down into His heart. I call it the gravity effect. The longer we ponder on something in our mind; it will then filter its way down to our heart. A marriage, a holy union requires the heart of each spouse to be right in sync with each other in the most intimate type of love that is not shared with anyone else. We must allow a daily transformation and infilling of The Holy Ghost take place within us. To daily submit to The Comforter for direction in obedience!

II Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

In self examination and in keeping our hearts pure after God, we must always be in prayer, in fellowship to our Father.

Matthew 21:12-13 (12) And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, (13) And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Oh how we need The Lord to come into our lives daily and turn over the potential money changers and merchants and idols of our flesh. To come again before the powerful cross daily to be in proper covenant keeping order. We need to become a house of prayer, to keep our hearts purely after Christ.

I encourage us all to guard our mind by the putting on of the helmet of salvation, so that we may protect our heart which lies beneath the breast plate of righteousness. Allow The Promising Covenantal Word of God lead you in obedience to the covenant we have and should have with The Lord Jesus Christ.

II Timothy 3: 15-17 (15) And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.(16) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (17) That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Rejoice in the covenant you have with our Lord Jesus Christ! Sing unto The First love, for he loved us first even before we were conceived into this world! Thank God for Jesus who was birthed out of God's love and nailed on the cross, so that we can be properly restored and connected back to our Father! Thank God for the cross of Calvary! Allow the bells of your heart ring victoriously after The Praises of our God! Stay faithful to Jesus, may your eyes never depart from The Word and may The Holy Spirit cause you to follow hard after Christ!

Leviticus 20:26 And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.

God Bless
