PRAYER

I mentioned in other blogs, that I do not believe in a religion, but rather a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, in any relationship, communication must constantly take place in order for that relationship to keep going and growing. The same is required when having a relationship with Jesus. Communication must take place consistently and daily, which is prayer.

When you pray the Lord is there! It says in the book of Matthew 6:6 "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut the door, pray to thy Father (Jesus) which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly" That means, that if you are by yourself and you pray in your own (prayer closet/ designated area where you pray to the Lord) that He will see and listen to your prayer and reward you. It also says in his Word that where two or more is gather in his name, there he is in the midst. That means when you are praying with one or more people, the Bible says that in a gathering of two and more there I (Jesus) am in the midst. The more you come humble to the Lord in prayer, the more he will start speaking to you and cause you to have an ear and spirit designed to be attune with the voice of the Lord. The Bible also says, to him (you) whom hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit (God) is saying. Jesus wants to communicate back to you, He too, wants the relationship to grow and flourish. All you have to do is pray...ask and you shall receive. Sometimes the Lord will give you what you ask and sometimes He will give you the opportunity to go after what you asked of Him. He is truly a merciful loving Father who just wants to talk to you. What a great God. He is far above any other.

So I encourage you reader...just go to the Lord humble and pure after him. Just simply start talking to him. He is there waiting and listening 24/7. All things of your past or present is cast aside, when you step into the presence and realm of the Almighty and to just simply communicate to Him anything and everything. It's a relationship He is after and wants to make that personal relationship blossom and grow!
