SERVANT

Isaiah 49:1-3 (KJV) (1) Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (2)And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me; (3)And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.

I have mentioned before that I am nothing more or less but a servant to the Lord, and that's all I see and want to see myself as. So for some of you readers, may not understand what exactly I mean by "servant". What I mean by the term "servant" is that, I give my whole entire life daily to the leading and will of the Lord. The Bible says, (also part of the sinner's prayer) is for HIS Kingdom come and HIS will be done! My life is not of my own, but it's the Lord's. I mean, He is the one who created me and gave me life, so it belongs to him. However, there is something more than just the reason being that He created me.

It's a desire! A righteous servant of the Lord, trusts and desires after the Master. In season and out of season, in church and out of church, always seeking out the will, plan, and direction daily of the Master. A true servant is not a hypocrite. Meaning that you just don’t put on your “holy shoes" when you're in front of the Pastor or in church. You abide in holiness. No! A true servant is one who is willing and obedient to the every command and step the Master directs. The Bible says in the book of Proverbs that the Lord directs your footsteps. And as I mentioned before in other blogs...the Lord is only a loving and merciful God. The Bible says His mercy and love endures forever! So He is just a great God to serve. The Bible also says that many are called, but few are chosen, and I believe it's the true in season and out of season servants are chosen. Wouldn't you want to not just be called or just have a calling over your life, but walk daily in His will and be chosen by the Almighty God, The Lord of all lords and the King of all kings? The Master's promises are sure and He keeps them. The Bible says He is the same... yesterday, today, and forever. So that love and mercy upon his servants are always the same and never change. That's why I desire after my Lord. And I also desire others whom God has place in authority over my life, for me to serve as well.

I encourage you reader, to be one whom is not just called but chosen by God Himself. To be a true servant of the Lord who submits their life to the will of their Father. The Bible says out of all things, to serve is the greatest! God will change the heart in you, into serving with a desire and radical spirit after Him, if you fully give your whole heart to His will and purpose in your life. A natural mind's eye can't understand it, but if you declare and truly mean that He is the Lord of your life, and your are his servant, then a whole new vision and world that's awesome will set before you. Just die to your fleshly desires daily and into the arms of a loving and merciful Father (the Lord Jesus Christ), and you will be in his perfect will and have a great desire for it. I guarantee it, because it's the truth. The Bible says, Seek first the Kingdom and His righteousness and all righteousness shall be added unto you!

Isaiah 49:5 (KJV) And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength.

John 12:26 (KJV) If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

God Bless
