SO YOU WANT TO GO BACK TO EYGPT?

Judges 2:10 …there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.

To my fellow reader, this word is to encourage and influence our hearts to pursue forward in relationship with Christ, all the days of our life! To always show and tell to others, both young and old, the goodness of Christ to and through our lives!

My heart goes out for the families of this generation. And as we look in the second chapter of the book of Judges, we see that there was a new day, a new generation that arose and knew not the Lord.

Judges 2:1-2 (1) And an angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you. (2) And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this?

We see in the beginning of the chapter that an angel of the Lord, a messenger from the heavenly host, comes to Israel delivering a word from the Lord. First the angel says and reassures the covenant between the Lord and Israel and then spoke of the present issue of disobedience to the voice of God. Their willingness to compromise God’s direct command of conquering the land and getting rid of all former inhabitants was the very thing that was used to effect the next generation for the worse. For the land God promised was for those in covenant with the Him and Him alone to inherit, not others.

The angel continues to deliver the word of the Lord to Israel saying that God will not take out any other land dwellers before Israel and that their gods will be a snare or a trap to Israel.

Just think, Israel at the time was visited by God Himself time to time in the form of a cloud or fire. The bible would say “and The Lord spoke” or “God appeared”. But this time, due to Israel’s disobedience and allowance to other land dwellers that are not in covenant with the Lord, I believe caused God to only send an angel to deliver the message from the heavenly throne room. It’s terrific to have an angel show up, but just to think, that The King of Kings, God Almighty to appear before you with His own message to you!

Joshua 2:4, 7 (4) And it came to pass, when the angel of the LORD spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept. (7) And the people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the LORD, that he did for Israel.

We see how Israel had there time of crying and weeping after being corrected, like any properly raised up child would do once the Father corrects them. However there tears only lasted the remaining life time of another and not themselves. The Bible says they served the Lord all the days of Joshua and the remaining elders that outlived Joshua. In other words, Israel sorrowfully served the Lord as long as the powerful, all conquering generation remained to live among them.

How is it that Israel was more aware to serve God, when the eyes of those who God used mightily were upon them, rather than the eyes of God? Did they not realize that even though God used Joshua and the elders to lead them into their inheritance that they conquered all in the name of the Lord, the name that is jealous, the name of all power, the name that can never die? Did they truly hear the word of the Lord through the angel that God will never break His covenant, His relationship with Israel, because He is Faithful? Did the children realize that it takes two to make a relationship to work? Did they know that since God spoke His faithful pledge to the covenant with His people, He is expecting the same in return?

2 Chronicles 16:9 For The Eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.

The answers to these questions are, yes! Of course Israel knew; they were literally born to know of covenant with God! Stories from generation to generation of God’s mighty hand was spoken of and even shown, from those with Moses, who lasted a couple full generations all the way to Joshua, who lasted as well a couple of generations. It was required that the testimonies were to continue, but this generation neglected their job. Their disobedience, their willingness to compromise the land God gave them, allowed the devil to rob them of their testimony. The numerous testimonials they grew to hear, have, and wear upon their hearts was robbed as they allowed rebellion to seep into their minds.

The only reason why a generation rose up not knowing God and His mighty works is because the previous generation failed to continue to live out the testimonies!

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy…

If we allow Satan to steal away the word and even testimony of God from our hearts, he will then go in for the kill, to destroy a generation through us. That’s his motive. We can’t say well Satan made me to disobey. He doesn’t make people do anything, he only influences. We can’t give Satan any power that he really doesn’t have. He doesn’t have the power to “make”, only God does, because God is the creator! We can’t give Satan created for any of our disobedience or rebellion, but thank God there is the free gift of repentance and liberation. That Christ has came so that we might have life, and that we might have it more abundantly! (John 10:10)

Due Israel’s lack of continuing in the power of their testimony and God’s leading in their lives, they began to give in to the snare of the enemy, through pagan gods. They began to forget the story, as their minds became plagued with unrighteousness and transgression. Conviction and fear of God began to usher its way of the hearts of God’s people, as rebellion looked for a place to settle in what use to be obedience’s place. As Israel aloud strangers to dwell in their place of inheritance, the authority they thought they once held, back fired. Israel went back to being bondmen, as if the years in the wilderness of God’s judgment, leading, provision, and the time retrieving the land that was promised, never happened. A journey forgotten, allowing a generation to know not God, or to not have intimacy with the Lord who is all holy and good!

Israel may have been in the land God promised, but in their hearts they went back to Egypt.

Beloved, we are in the place where a generation came that knew not God for themselves! Sure there have been mighty outpourings of God’s presence, power, and spirit, upon a people, that totally revolutionized this nation and even the world in history’s script. However, it was so that the testimony may continue! There have been those who captured the flow of the spirit, in the massive outpouring only to the extent of the “spiritual” life time of those who were once used. It doesn’t end there folks. God poured out for a remnant!

The Bible says that the anger of the Lord was so hot against Israel in their transgressions that HE DELIVERED them INTO the hands of those who were Israel’s spoilers and enemies! Yet, Nevertheless the Lord raised up judges, to deliver Israel back out of the hands that spoiled them, or out the enemy’s hands. (Judges2:14-16).

We can incorporate those judges to even be like new covenant spiritual fathers and mothers in the faith, those who God raises up and appoints to help guide our life in the walk and way of the Lord. To make wise judgment and bring order into the life God placed for them to pour into.

The reason why this generation arose without knowing the things of God, was that in the past some tried to become Kings rather than fathers.

In time, Christ will bless us with awesome anointing or great ministries, as powerful as it is, we can’t allow the enemy to influence us to try and become a king. We have one King and His name is Jesus Christ! Let’s be like the Father!

Father’s are need to a generation that knows only broken marriages. To a generation that knows only pain, drugs, criminal charges, death, and not Christ.

God’s heart is all about covenant relationship, about the winning of souls, not adulterous relationships and the winning of lotteries, even by the money that is the Lord’s! Unless God opens the door to be a witness, why waist time arguing with other religions concerning who is right or wrong trying to prove a point, which influences pride, while busy trying to convert by yourself the religious church down the street, there is a lost generation on the streets of brokenness who knows nothing of Christ and is not being ministered to! To minister is to serve. We got to serve a lost generation with the love of Christ, the love that causes us not to forget where we once came from!

God’s heart is about to pour out upon this generation in a powerful way! So far beyond just frightening sermons of going to hell and such, because already this generation is exposed to hell on earth. There is a devil and He is real, but this outpouring will be of the Kingdom of God as in times past. This generation that knew not God, will come to know the Kingdom in which they will take as inheritance!

How is that? It’s because God is working through a remnant that held tight to the stories of the days of old, when God once before shook the foundations of the land and the heavens poured out upon the people! God’s working through a remnant that was once bound in bondage’s grip and came unto life in the liberty of the spirit of God!

II Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

I encourage us all, to hold fast the word of the Lord, the power of our testimonies! To never forget how the Lord took you out of bondage into new life in liberty! We say as American we are the land of the free, but really if we are not in the Kingdom, how can we say we have freedom? The freedom of this nation compared to others is freedom from death outwardly, in some cases, but the freedom Christ delivers by His spirit is liberty internally and eternally! Freedom from sin’s grip within our lives! As God allowed a people who were in covenant with Him to conquer and take land for inheritance, so are we in Christ able to take dominion over any principality of darkness!

Here were are again, some in their heart went back to Egypt, back being in bondage, and now the Lord is shaking the foundations of not only American, but the world through America, because the heavens are about to pour down a great flood of God’s power, upon a generation who knows not God! Let’s stop having our own three hour conferences just between God and ourselves concerning whether or not we aught to go to some one to just witness to them. God’s wants us to share the testimonies of His intervention in the lives of those who are now salvation bound by the blood! Remember, God wants to win a generation through you, to once again have them know God as their Lord and Saviour!

I Corinthians 4:20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

Jeremiah 50:20 In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve.

Isaiah 1:9 Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

May this next massive outpuring of the Holy Ghost be noted throughtout the world as the Kingdom Movement!

Luke 4:16-19 (16) And he (Jesus) came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. (17) And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, (18) The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, (19) To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

God Bless
