THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

There is so much to mention about Jesus Christ. The life of Christ touches every aspect in our individual lives in the most perfect way there is possible. Jesus was and is perfect! The last greatest gift God has freely and lovingly given to all mankind was His only Son, Jesus Christ. Matthew 21:37 But last of all He (God) sent them (us) His Son... It is impossible to write about Jesus with out mentioning salvation, because that is what He was sent to this earth to accomplish. For God so loved the world that He gave, (not just anything, but His very best); that He gave His only begotten Son. (why did God give Jesus to us? God gave His only Son to die in our place on the cross) that whosoever (any body/ free gift) believeth in Him (Jesus) should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16. The Father (God) gives salvation to all who do nothing more than believe on His Son, Jesus Christ.

John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Here is a story that flows into this free gift of salvation that can only be offered through Christ, Jesus. After a series of meetings, Billy Sunday, a powerful evangelistic minister, was helping the workmen take down the tent when a young man who had been in the meeting the night before, now greatly under conviction, came up to Mr. Sunday earnestly inquiring: " What must I do to be saved?" Mr. Sunday's reply was startling, “You’re too late, and “he said and kept on working”. Oh don't say that," exclaimed the young man, “for I earnestly desire salvation; I would do anything or go anywhere to obtain it." "I can not help it," came the reply. “You’re too late; for your salvation was completed many years ago by Jesus Christ, and it is a finished work. All you have to do is simply accept it. You have done nothing and can do nothing to merit salvation. It is free to all who will receive it." The young man believed and was saved.

I am not skilled to understand…

What God willed, what God hath planned;

I only know at His right hand

Is One who is my Savior!

I take Him at His word indeed;

'Christ died for sinners,' this I read;

For in my heart I find a need

Of Him to be my Savior!

That He should leave His place on high

And come for sinful man to die,

You count it strange? So once did I,

Before I knew my Savior!

-Dora Greenwell

Now I have stated that Jesus is the Son of God. However, it does not mean that God had a wife in heaven and she conceived Jesus. Mary conceived Jesus, yet the she was a virgin. She was not touched by any man prior to Jesus' birth. The Bible says that God's spirit entered Mary's womb, which was purposed to birth Jesus into this world, but sinless. We are all birthed into this world, sinful. Mary was also birthed into this world sinful like everyone else, however she was used by God. She is not to be worshipped or idolized in any way. Only Jesus Christ, because the Bible is very clear in stating that Jesus Christ is the Eternal God manifested in the flesh.

I Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

In the Old Testament there were many prophecies delivered, concerning the coming of the Lord (Jesus Christ). In the New Testament, Jesus is the fulfillment of the prophecies and He IS Lord. In the Old Testament God was acknowledged as Lord. Jesus is God manifested in the flesh; Jesus is Lord. God gave Moses in the Old Testament His (God's) first name, “I AM" (Genesis 3:14 (KJV). Jesus says His name to be, “I AM" (John 8:58). This caused the Pharisees and Sadducees, Jewish priests and scholars strictly adhering to the law given to Moses and their forefathers by God, to rent (rip apart) their clothing and call Jesus a blasphemer (liar) that Jesus was not God. Little did they know, they were truly speaking to The King of all kings and The Lord of all lords.

John 10:30 ( KJV) I (Jesus) and my Father (God) are one.

John 4:24 (KJV) God Is Spirit...

Lord: One who has power and authority; a master; a ruler; a governor; a prince; a proprietor, as of a manor. To rule or preside over as a lord. A title bestowed on the persons above named; and also, for honor, on certain official persons; as, lord advocate, lord chamberlain, lord Chancellor, lord chief justice, etc. Jesus is Lord and ruler over all things!

Psalms 14 (KJV) (1) The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.(2) The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.(3) They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.(4) Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.(5) There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.(6)Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.(7) Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

John 8:12 (KJV) Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light (God's Glory) of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light (God given glory) of life.

The four reasons Jesus had to be born a man are:

1) To fulfill the Old Testament Prophecies beginning with Genesis 3:15

Matthew 1:22, Luke 24:27, Acts 7:25

2) To fulfill the law through obedience

Galatians 4:4-5, Matthew 3:15, 5:17; Romans 5:19, 10:4

3) For sin to be condemned (Judged) in the Flesh

Romans 8:3, Isaiah 53:10

4) That He might be able to both suffer and die in our place

Hebrews 4:15, 2:9, 2:14, 7:26; I John 3:5

It was also necessary for our Savior (Jesus Christ) to be fully God in order to destroy the works of the devil and to overcome death, bringing LIFE and IMMORTALITY to light through the Gospel.

I John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Jesus the Christ (the anointed one) was in the beginning of all time! John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

I John 1:1-2 (1)That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (2) (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

The promise of the Savior Jesus Christ was first mentioned when God spoke it to Satan, right after Satan spoke through the serpent (snake) to influence Eve and then Adam, to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The tree that God forbade them to eat from. Satan's influence on them was to question God and disobey God (mentioned in previous blog: Satan). Also in Genesis 3:15 ( KJV) : And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Jesus died on the cross and indeed rose again three days later. He rose again in a more glorified body, still bearing the piercing of the nails in His hands. Not only did His disciples get a chance to see and touch him, but so did 500 other people all at once, who also bore witness to Jesus dying on the cross, did in fact see him alive and ascending up into the heavens!

"Sin and unbelief today is not in marked contrast with that of yesterday. No shock is felt as men are drawn away farther and farther away from God, and their attention is not permitted to rest upon it. The world will not know when it is ripe for judgment." -James M. Gray

Jesus promised that He would come again to earth for the last time. He will come and establish His kingdom on earth! A new earth! This was the very word of our Lord Jesus Christ when He said: (37) But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (38) For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, (39) And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Matthew 24:37-39 (KJV). People before the flood were just going on through their normal sinful life, with out hesitation, until suddenly a flood came. It was too late. You would think now that they would listen to what Noah had to say, while he spent many years building an ark. Now I would hope that people would really, not just hear, but receive what Christ and his servants now have to say about the Gospel. That people may receive, walk, and abide in the way of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, before it's too late.

James 4:14-15 (KJV) (14) Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. (15) For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

Even when Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane before He would be crucified, He realized that His death was only going to be of value to those who God has given him. In other words, Jesus knew that all mankind, will not be saved, however it is of the desire of God/Christ, that all shall be saved. John 17 (KJV).

John 17:9-11 (KJV) (9) I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. (10) And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. (11) And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

John 17: 14,19 (KJV) (14)I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.(19) And for their sakes I sanctify myself (Jesus can do it himself, because He is God), that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

John 17:21-26 (KJV) (21) That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. (22) And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: (23) I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. (24)Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. (25) O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. (26)And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

I encourage you my fellow reader, to obtain the free gift and promise of our Lord Jesus Christ! To get a little bit deeper than that, I encourage you to obtain, walk, and abide in a life long relationship with Christ! He is more than a best friend in that He sticks closer than a brother, Proverbs 18:24. We can only get to God through a relationship, only by and through Jesus, John 14:6. You can have a relationship with God (through Christ) and experience for yourself, a totally new dynamic and fulfilling life here on earth! Times will be tough and you may not always feel like you're walking on "cloud 9" all the time. However, as soon as you call on the name of Jesus, you will be picked up by His hand, and all things that tried to keep you on a level of attack or just feeling "unsaved", will diminish!

James 4: 7-10 (KJV) (7) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (8) Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. (9) Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. (10) Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Again, allow me to encourage you, my fellow reader to just thank God for His unconditional love toward all mankind! Thank God for Jesus Christ taking our debt or sin and laying it upon the cross! Thank God Satan has been defeated! Thank God that Jesus did resurrect and is still alive and moving! Thank God we will also resurrect and are promised eternal life, through Christ and abiding in Him while on the earth! Thank God we who believe, can now go to the throne room in prayer and intercession, through Jesus Christ! Thank God that He requires and yearns to have a relationship with us His children, and not just an on going religion of dead works! Thank God for His touch on our lives! Thank God that HE IS ON THE THRONE!

John 14: 10-11 (KJV) (10) Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but of the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. (11) Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

Now begin to magnify and praise The Lord Jesus Christ, for He alone is Worthy of ALL our Praise and Thanksgiving!!!

God Bless
