WAR TO ENDURE

Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 2:1
In today’s culture and age, majority has thought of war to be corrupt and good for absolutely nothing. Though war is destructive and promises to conquer over and even take a life, it is necessary when taken into action for a good cause. It is necessary to survive and endure…And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem. And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king's house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon. And David sent and enquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite? And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house. 2 Samuel 11:1-4
David, a man known to be a man of ware far, his whole life (except for this instance), was a man skilled and mastered in the place of warfare. From defeating a lion, bear, a giant, a multitude of Philistines during his reign, David knew the place of war. David did not war due to any blood thirsty appetite, but he warred for a cause. The cause was for God’s present purpose and fulfillment through his life, for God’s people, and for that very age in which he lived in. David knew how to battle both naturally and spiritually, both on the field and in the chamber.
However, we all know the story of when David sinned. The emphasis we place on David’s sin could seem to outweigh the righteousness he walked in and stove for in God. Our perception of David is a great man of God, but always the tag of his sin. However it is not recorded so we can just observe his life and judge it, but that we may also see through the veil of his heart and learn from it. In this segment of his life, we learn that during the season he should be fighting for his destiny, for God’s fulfillment, David chose to be on the wrong side of the battle.
Everything, David has learned of, has engaged in, has partaken of in the Lord has been his source of endurance! This night, David did not endure. He did not endure righteousness thought, action, or discipline. David put his armor on the wall and chose to be “mis-garbed” , forsaking to endure.
No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. II Timothy 3:4No man! If you choose to be in the place of spiritual warfare, not just for ourselves but for the plan of God, war for the Kingdom, taking it by force IN THE place of intercession, you will not have time nor thought to be intermingled or experimenting in the sinful affairs of first birth, or in other words in the things of this world. You would be too caught up in the place of another world in the place known to be the Kingdom of God. Far too long has believers put there armor on the shelf and not engaged in the place of prayer and intercession not just for ourselves but for our family, for our church, for our nation, but most importantly… for lost souls! Marriages have split, children continue to live separated from honest communication with parents, and the list goes on. How is it so? Because not being in the war to endure! This is no knew thing that has been preached, but this is a call to action! A call to engage in the heat of the battle! A call for destiny, for purpose, for victory, for…RESTORATION!
Restoration will not begin in the home unless it is first established at the altar! The alter of prayer! The alter of fellowship with the Father! A call to action! It is not enough to talk about it, because in that there is NO power being operative in your life! For the kingdom of God is NOT in word, but in power. I Corinthians 4:20. In other words, it is NOT in just talking about it, but it is in taking action, laying hold of!
Nothing can be laid hold of if it is not first made available. This Kingdom of God is made available! This is why we must be in the affairs of our second birth, and not still wavering as if we have never been born again. This only come by repentance, being baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost! But it is not ministered of by large! This is why the thrust of the church in America is not a place of prayer and true intercession. Only religious repetitions of the mind and not the true engagement of the heart! Once the heart is engaged, then the body begins to manifest the power of prayer!
For those who are in intercession and feel weary and burnt out…ENDURE! Endure like a good soldier! Don’t let the enemy weigh you down, but seek your strength in Jesus, in His word! It sounds simply, but this foundation will surely save you! Man cannot fall when he is already on his face! So let us continue to be on our faces crying out to God and listening to the voice of His spirit!
Nevertheless, the church, those who are born again in Christ is a beautiful bride! A place that is called to be a house of prayer. Let us not sell out what gems God has given us, but rather let us continue to war to endure. For the further establishment of God’s Kingdom in and through our life upon a people.
Like David asked before engaging the battle to destroy a giant… “Is there not a cause?”Is there not a cause to pray, is there not a opportunity given for God to hear from you, His child? Is there not a cause for there to be restoration in your home? Is there not a cause for you to live victoriously in Jesus? Is there not a cause for you to overcome the wicked one? Is there not a cause to see people come to Jesus through your life? Is there not a cause to see a nation restored to life, liberty, and most importantly to Jesus? Is there not a cause?
There is a cause, because if there wasn’t Jesus would have never died for you or for me. He would have never came to earth to give His life as an obedient son so that whosoever would believe in Him would be saved. There is a cause and you, my fellow reader, are a part of it. Endure my friend as a good soldier…endure.
God Bless
